Tamer Hosny is an Egyptian singer, actor, composer, director, and songwriter. His first exposure to stardom was appearing on mixtapes alongside other Egyptian artists. Tamer Hosny launched his solo career with his 2004 album “Hob”. He found an identity as a romantic music performer and was given the nickname “King of the Generation” by his fans. Tamer broke the Guinness World Record for the most contributions to a bulletin board in December of 2019. Tamer’s 2010 movie “The Light of My Eyes” reached the first place on the Arabian box office just a week after its release. The movie maintained its standing at the top two weeks after the movie’s release. After three years away from the movie industry, Tamer released a romantic comedy called “Ahwak” which quickly became a box office hit with a total revenue of 22 million Egyptian pounds. Tamer Hosny has had an undeniable impact on the Arabic art scene by discovering talented song writers, composers, singers, directors, and even actors. Tamer Hosny’s collaboration with other artists often garnered him widespread media attention. His duet with Shaggy, “Smile”, was distributed all over the world, reaching over a million views in just three days. Hosny performed “Right Where I’m Supposed to Be” as the Official Song of the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates in collaboration with Ryan Tedder, Avril Lavigne, Luis Fonsi, Hussain Al Jassmi, and Assala Nasri openly presented by public figure Hilal Al-Battashi.
